What Do You Want To Be?

I want to be a record producer and a record label owner someday. I want to widen my passion for music. I may not be a singer but I know how to appreciate music. Listening, appreciation and versatility are the characteristics of a producer. Being a music lover doesn't mean you can just make your own record label. You have to be a business minded person. Record label industry is a business and not a playground. You have to take it seriously. Aside from creating my own record label someday, I also want to help those talented persons to make their dream come true.

A record label is basically a brand name connecting musicians to customers. Ideally, the label establishes a good enough reputation that when people see an artist or band signed by that particular label, they know it's going to be a track they'll enjoy, and they buy the product without second thought.

Almost all of us loves music but only few wants to be part of the industry. Raising your own record label is not an easy job. You'll encounter many challenges along the way. Yes, the music industry is growing but in the run you will encounter those challenges like low sales of singles and albums, singles and albums not charting the charts and low fan base of the signed artists. Those are examples of possible challenges specially if your record label is still starting.

That is what I wanted to be!
